Job summary

North Shore Healthcare is seeking an Activities Aide for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Wisconsin. The role is approximately 23-25 hours per week, with some weekend hours and afternoon shifts.

Starting pay is $15.00 per hour. The Activities Assistant will support the Life Enrichment/Activities Department by coordinating meaningful, person-centered programs that enhance residents' physical, social, emotional, and cognitive well-being.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; energetic demeanor.
• Ability to lead activities and engage groups.
• Ability to push wheelchairs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead group and 1:1 activities based on residents' interests and care plans.
• Escort residents to activities, promoting safety and independence.
• Support residents with setup and materials during programs.
• Report mood, behavior, or functional changes to Life Enrichment Director and nursing team.
• Maintain monthly activity calendars, newsletters, and bulletin boards.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain supplies and activity areas.
• Assist with special events, holidays, outings, and family engagement activities.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe activity environment.
