Dow Rummel Village is a non-profit Senior Life Plan Community in Sioux Falls, SD, seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting functions and lead a team of professionals. This full-time role includes resident billing across services and coordination with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a accounting degree (CPA preferred), 2–3 years in senior care, and 3+ years in supervisory roles with direct reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required or equivalent.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in senior care or related industry with solid accounting knowledge.
• 3+ years in an official supervisory role with 2+ direct reports.
• Experience with accounting software and systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable for timely processing.
• Billing for Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Independent Living, Home Health, Rentals, Restaurants/Catering, Wellness, Shoppe and Beauty Salon.
• Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Supervise accounting staff; provide guidance and conduct performance reviews.
• Coordinate with departments for accurate reporting and budgeting.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of financial goals.
• Prepare and modify accounting reports and provide analysis.
• Serve as the audit lead and coordinate information for the annual audit.
• Coordinate cost reports and tax returns; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure accuracy of IRS, Medicare, Medicaid, and other government reporting.
• Identify and implement new practices to improve efficiency.
