Job summary

Fanatics is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to keep Fanatics Live and Instant Rips running reliably in real time, with collectors and sellers transacting live.

You will diagnose issues, build dashboards, and create tooling to automate workflows. This hands-on role offers ownership of live operations and opportunities to shape architecture as the platform expands internationally, with a Wednesday-Sunday 1:00 PM–9:00 PM PT schedule.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience across frontend, backend and infrastructure.
• Hands-on in observability tooling and dashboards (Datadog or equivalent).
• Experience with incident response in production environments.
• Proficient with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to diagnose issues under pressure with sound engineering judgment.
• Strong cross-functional communication with non-engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Act as the designated technical responder for live shows and Instant Rip experiences.
• Own incident response end to end, from detection to postmortems.
• Own operational health views with dashboards, alerts, and SLOs.
• Build internal tooling to let teams self-serve.
• Automate manual operational workflows.
• Identify systemic root causes and drive durable fixes.
• Lead architecture and design discussions for live operational capabilities.
• Establish runbooks and escalation paths for scalable live support.
• Collaborate to align strategies across teams.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge.
