Job summary

System One’s TeamPeople division seeks a seasoned Event Technician in San Francisco to deliver end-to-end live event production with Ross and Blackmagic switching, PTZ control, and Yamaha DM7 audio. You will collaborate with a team to plan, staff, and execute complex events, while ensuring exceptional client service and technical excellence.

The role demands strong problem-solving, a proactive learning attitude, and experience in a live broadcast environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 5-10 years of professional technical live event experience.
Bachelor's degree in media production, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications such as DES, CTS, PMP, or similar are encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide top-class customer service and explain services to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Plan, staff, and deliver event requests within the client’s fully equipped event center.
Work with external AV vendors and freelancers to meet client needs.
Operate, configure, and troubleshoot Ross and Blackmagic switching consoles, PTZ cameras/controllers, and Yamaha DM7.
Troubleshoot equipment and assist with maintenance of AV gear.
Develop and follow SOPs, include contingency planning in event support.
Contribute to R&D and process improvements for quality and efficiency.
Manage technical risks during pre-production, execution, and post-event.
