Accrescent Group in Philadelphia seeks a senior-level Pennsylvania attorney to handle sophisticated large loss and excess liability litigation from our Philadelphia office. The role requires independence, strong trial experience, and close collaboration with firm leadership and clients.

Active PA license is required; NJ admission is a plus. Portable book of business or prior relationships with carriers or corporate clients will be considered favorable.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Pennsylvania law license.
• Senior-level litigation experience handling large loss, excess liability, or other high-exposure matters.
• Strong insurance defense litigation background.
• Experience independently managing complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex large loss and excess liability matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy for high-exposure claims, analyze liability/damages/coverage/excess exposure.
• Handle sophisticated discovery and expert issues, prepare/defend depositions.
• Draft and argue dispositive and complex motions, participate in mediations/arbitrations/settlement conferences/trial preparation.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, excess carriers, self-insured entities, and corporate clients.
• Support development of new business opportunities, help strengthen the firm's large loss and excess liability practice
