Job summary

Strategic Legal Practices, APC in Los Angeles seeks a Supervising Litigation Attorney to oversee a high-volume civil litigation docket and lead a multi-tier legal team, including associates, law clerks, paralegals, and staff.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of civil defense experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to supervise discovery motions, depositions, hearings, and client communications while upholding court rules and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school is required.
• Active California license to practice law is required.
• Minimum 5 years of civil litigation experience, ideally with high-volume defense work.
• Experience supervising a large multi-role legal team and managing a big caseload.
• Experience with discovery motion practice, including motions to compel and terminating sanctions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a high-volume caseload of approximately 1,400 litigation matters.
• Manage and monitor case dockets to ensure deadlines are met.
• Prioritize case assignments based on urgency and staffing capacity.
• Supervise drafting and review of motions and discovery requests; ensure accuracy and strategy alignment.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of attorneys, law clerks, and paralegals; oversee client communications.
