Job summary

Strategic Legal Practices, APC in Los Angeles seeks a Supervising Litigation Attorney to oversee a high-volume civil litigation docket and lead a multi-tier legal team, including associates, law clerks, paralegals, and staff.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of civil defense experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to supervise discovery motions, depositions, hearings, and client communications while upholding court rules and strategic goals.

Qualifications

J.D. from ABA-accredited law school is required.
Active California license to practice law is required.
Minimum 5 years of civil litigation experience, ideally with high-volume defense work.
Experience supervising a large multi-role legal team and managing a big caseload.
Experience with discovery motion practice, including motions to compel and terminating sanctions.

Responsibilities

Oversee a high-volume caseload of approximately 1,400 litigation matters.
Manage and monitor case dockets to ensure deadlines are met.
Prioritize case assignments based on urgency and staffing capacity.
Supervise drafting and review of motions and discovery requests; ensure accuracy and strategy alignment.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of attorneys, law clerks, and paralegals; oversee client communications.
