Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a seasoned litigation professional to address high-end cases involving serious injuries and complex coverage issues. You will develop strategies to bring cases to satisfactory resolution, manage legal investigations, and coordinate with local counsel and clients.

The ideal candidate brings a JD or equivalent, a strong background in litigation and claims management, and a commitment to empathetic, collaborative problem-solving within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Education and licensing: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. JD preferred.
• Ten (10) years of litigation experience with at least 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review reports and forms; respond to inquiries; seek legal opinions and early resolution; communicate outcomes.
• Handle high-end cases with serious injuries and complex coverage scenarios.
• Respond to decisions, orders or demands; develop action plans; assess need for examinations; obtain client authorization.
• Identify settlement or redemption opportunities; coordinate with client designees and local counsel.
• Attend mediations, trials, arbitrations or hearings as needed; collaborate with partners to enable early return-to-work.
