Job summary

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP’s Milwaukee office is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with experience in insurance defense and general civil litigation. You will support attorneys by researching law, preparing documents, and managing case files from inception through trial.

The role requires at least five years of civil litigation support, proficiency with Word, Excel, and litigation software, and meticulous organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of general civil litigation experience.
• Experience reviewing medical records and preparing medical chronologies preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage case files from inception through mediation/arbitration/trial/settlement.
• Prepare subpoenas, discovery requests, and document productions with privilege logs.
• Prepare legal documents: briefs, pleadings, chronology, agreements, and trial/motion binders.
• Prepare witness lists, deposition materials, exhibits, and trial notebooks.
• Capture and record billable time per firm policies and client guidelines.
• Attend trials and assist attorneys with preparation and logistics.
