Job summary

National Litigation Law Firm in Chicago seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its busy office. The ideal candidate will support complex civil matters, manage case files, and work closely with attorneys through every phase of litigation.

Candidates should have 6+ years of paralegal experience, a paralegal certificate or associate degree, and strong knowledge of court procedures. Proficiency in MS Office and case management software is required; ability to multitask under deadlines

Qualifications

• 6+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Experience with civil litigation from discovery through trial.
• Knowledge of state and federal court procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between attorneys, clients, courts, and third parties.
• Organize and manage litigation case files and documentation.
• Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and filings.
• Conduct legal research to support litigation matters.
• Coordinate discovery including document collection and production.
• Assist with deposition prep, witness coordination, and pre-trial prep.
• Prepare trial materials such as exhibits and notebooks.
• Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and client meetings.
• Maintain calendars and monitor court deadlines.
