Job summary

The Estate Lawyers APC in Irvine, CA seeks a seasoned Litigation Paralegal to support our trust and probate litigation practice. You will manage caseloads from intake through trial, coordinate with attorneys and clients, and help reduce attorney hours by keeping timelines and tasks on track.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, 3+ specifically in trusts and estates litigation.
• Experience supporting 25 depositions and 3 trials directly.
• Mastery of Probate Code, CRC, and CCP.
• Fluent in Adobe Acrobat Pro and familiar with Trial Director or equivalent software.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and time entry in a CMS such as Clio; bonus if you have iManage.

Responsibilities

• Case Management & Workflow Oversight: Manage a portfolio of trust and probate litigation cases from inception through close or trial.
• Monitor case pipeline using reports and review meetings to ensure clients and matters move forward at the right pace.
• Flag and elevate cases outside firm standards and ensure monthly case status letters are sent to clients.
• Execution & Organization: Handle all phases of active litigation matters, including court filings, document drafting, discovery, research, deposition summaries, and trial prep.
• Maintain organized case files and current Case Management Workbooks; calendar deadlines and reminders.
• Leadership & Communication: Serve as hub of communication between attorneys, clients, and staff; mentor junior paralegals.
