Job summary

The Newark, NJ office of Lewis Brisbois seeks a paralegal with litigation experience to support a minimum of four attorneys, handle calendaring, and manage documents for discovery, pleadings, and trial preparation. Billing knowledge is required, and insurance defense is preferred.

The role emphasizes organization, communication, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate is required.
• At least five (5) years of litigation work experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Strong organizational, written & verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work for a minimum of four attorneys.
• Calendaring and document management.
• Compile information for discovery responses, interrogatories, pleadings, motions, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Knowledge of billing is required.
• Insurance defense preferably.
