Job summary

Contact Government Services (CGS) seeks an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join an in-house government legal team. The role focuses on eDiscovery, workflow management, and attorney support within a dynamic litigation portfolio.

The candidate should have a paralegal certificate or JD, at least two years of litigation paralegal experience, and strong research skills with Westlaw/ Lexis, plus expertise in document preparation and trial support in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate or JD or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school.
• Two+ years of litigation paralegal experience is required.
• Experience in automated litigation support is needed.
• Sound knowledge of federal and state court systems.
• Proficiency with Lexis and Westlaw for legal research.
• Familiarity with CM/ECF and electronic filing processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of technical legal documents for litigation.
• Review incoming documents and assess case status.
• Prepare indictments, subpoenas, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Obtain information from case files and agencies for filings.
• Ensure documents conform to local rules and formats.
• Assist attorneys in trial prep and organizing exhibits.
• Manage discovery databases and eDiscovery workflows.
• Verify citations using Westlaw/LexisNexis.
• File documents with the U.S. District Court via CM/ECF.
• Coordinate with victim/witness specialists on guidelines.
