Job summary

Croker Huck, an established law firm, is seeking a full-time paralegal/legal assistant to support litigation matters from inception to closing. You will work on commercial, probate, personal injury, and foreclosure cases, drafting and responding to pleadings, collecting and organizing documents, and preparing trial notebooks.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines are essential; 5+ years of litigation experience is required,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in litigation.
• Proficiency in legal research.
• Strong understanding of state and federal court rules and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in trial preparation and courtroom procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage plaintiff and defense work primarily in commercial, probate, personal injury and foreclosure litigation matters.
• Draft and respond to discovery and other pleadings.
• Collect and electronically organize documents from the client and productions from other parties.
• Manage the online repositories of documents and keyword searches for responsive items.
• Prepare and maintain depositions, trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness lists and case timelines.
• Summarize depositions and trial testimony.
• Verify relevant information using discovery document collections, depositions, internet resources and public information.
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and experts.
• Electronically file documents with the court and ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.
