Job summary

Whitman Advisory Job Community in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its Litigation Department. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of law firm litigation paralegal experience and can manage case documentation, court filings, discovery, and trial preparation with minimal supervision.

You will draft pleadings and motions, maintain litigation calendars, organize case files, coordinate with clients and court staff, and assist with deposition preparation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.
• Experience with electronic court filing systems, including CM/ECF and Washington, DC e-filing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, depositions, hearings, motions, and trials.
• Organize and maintain court documents, case files, pleadings, and other materials.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, correspondence, memoranda, and discovery requests.
• Manage litigation calendars, docket entries, deadlines, and filing requirements.
• Prepare deposition summaries and coordinate deposition preparation.
• Coordinate hearing, motion, and trial preparation with accurate documents and materials.
• Assist with paper and electronic discovery, including ESI identification.
• Draft and distribute legal hold notices and coordinate with clients to preserve and collect documents.
• Assist with processing, reviewing, coding, and organizing electronic discovery materials.
• Communicate with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and stakeholders to support case management.
