Job summary

Consilio LLC, through its Direct Hire Division, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for its Washington DC office to support attorneys in all stages of litigation, including case prep, discovery, and trial readiness. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple deadlines, and proficient with MS Office and case management systems while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Litigation Paralegal; preferably supporting litigation matters.
• Strong understanding of litigation processes, court filings, and discovery procedures.
• Proficiency in legal research and document management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize, summarize, and index documents related to pending, upcoming, and potential litigation matters.
• Draft legal correspondence, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation-related documents.
• Prepare and maintain trial notebooks, exhibits, and supporting documents for hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Manage and maintain case files, pleadings, briefs, correspondence, and legal records.
• Conduct legal research by identifying and analyzing applicable statutes, regulations, case law, and legal codes.
• Prepare summaries and abstracts of depositions, hearings, arbitrations, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Assist attorneys with case strategy, document review, and litigation preparation.
• Maintain meeting minutes and case-related records as needed.
