Addison Group is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal in Lansdowne, VA to support attorneys handling complex litigation matters. The role covers research, document prep, discovery, filings, and trial preparation, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation support experience, proficiency with Westlaw, and a paralegal credential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience supporting litigation matters as a paralegal.
• Experience in law firms, legal nonprofits, or litigation-focused environments.
• Strong knowledge of Bluebook formatting and citation checking.
• Hands-on experience with Westlaw is required.
• Ability to manage multiple attorneys and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day paralegal support to attorneys handling complex litigation matters.
• Research and interpret federal, state, and local court rules and procedures.
• Prepare and format litigation documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Assist with electronic court filings and maintain filing records.
• Perform citation review and Bluebook formatting.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources.
• Assist with discovery by organizing, reviewing, and preparing documents.
• Work with eDiscovery systems to support document review and production.
• Prepare deposition materials, trial binders, and materials for hearings.
• Monitor case dockets and deadlines, and track case activity.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure proper document management.
• Assist with calendars and case management systems.
• Coordinate materials for hearings, depositions, discovery, and trial.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Provide support on special projects and additional assignments.
• May guide junior paralegal staff when appropriate.
