Job summary

Duvera Consulting is partnering with a nationally recognized law firm to recruit an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal for its Houston office.

This role supports attorneys through all phases of litigation, from discovery to trial and arbitration, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of private-firm experience, strong Relativity/ESI skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience within a private law firm.
• Significant trial and/or arbitration experience.
• Experience with Relativity and ESI/e-discovery.
• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong legal research, proofreading, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work additional hours and travel when necessary for trials and arbitrations.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Prepare petitions, discovery requests, motions, subpoenas, deposition notices, and case correspondence under attorney supervision.
• Prepare deposition, hearing, arbitration, and trial notebooks and witness materials.
• Manage document productions and ESI using Relativity.
• Organize and maintain pleadings, discovery, client documents, and case records.
• Prepare deposition and medical record summaries and case chronologies.
• Assist with identifying and retaining consulting and testifying experts and coordinating expert materials and deadlines.
• Conduct case law, statutory, regulatory, background, and social media research.
• Track pretrial deadlines, scheduling orders, and trial dates.
• Communicate professionally with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and firm personnel.
• Provide hands-on trial and arbitration support, including occasional travel.
