Job summary

Reid Collins & Tsai LLP seeks an experienced Senior Paralegal to join our Austin, TX office, handling complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts nationwide. This full-time, in-office role supports multi-office teams in a fast-paced environment.

Daily duties include drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, managing e-filing, organizing files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four (4) years of complex litigation paralegal experience.
  • Experience with e-filing in state and federal courts is required.
  • Bachelors degree or college experience preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved program) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across offices and attorneys.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, with potential travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting attorneys in all phases of complex commercial litigation.
  • Drafting, proofreading, and formatting pleadings, motions, correspondence, and discovery materials.
  • Preparing filings and managing e-filing in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with applicable local rules and procedures.
  • Maintaining and organizing electronic case files, discovery, exhibit lists, and litigation binders.
  • Track deadlines, hearings, and case developments; manage calendars and case management systems.
  • Conducting factual and procedural review of court dockets and filing requirements.
  • Reviewing and processing documents for production; work with ESI vendors.
  • Assisting with deposition, hearing, and trial preparation.
  • Coordinating and communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner.
  • Accurately tracking and recording billable time in accordance with firm policies.

Reid Collins & Tsai LLP is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to join our Austin, Texas office. This is a full-time, in-office position supporting our complex commercial litigation practice in state and federal courts nationwide.

The firm’s trial teams include former federal prosecutors, judicial law clerks, and forensic accountants who work together to resolve sophisticated disputes in and out of the courtroom. Reid Collins & Tsai LLP handles a broad range of commercial matters, including financial fraud, Ponzi scheme-related cases, cross-border disputes, and professional-liability claims. Clients include trustees, liquidators, foreign governments, international banks, individuals, and companies appearing in federal and state courts across the country.

Role Description

The Senior Paralegal role is a full-time, on-site position based in Austin, TX. This role offers the opportunity to work on the firm's cases in a fast-paced, collaborative environment as part of teams that span multiple offices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or some college preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved program) preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) years of complex litigation paralegal experience
  • Demonstrated experience with litigation practice, including e-filing, is required
  • Meticulous attention to detail required
  • Exceptional organizational skills necessary
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities from multiple attorneys from multiple offices in a deadline-driven environment required
  • Ability to anticipate a litigation team’s needs and proactively assist attorneys with litigation projects required
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, when necessary, potentially including limited travel for trials
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SharePoint, as well as various document management systems (Relativity). Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
