Job summary

ARDC in Chicago seeks a Litigation Group Manager to lead a designated team and advance the commission's mission of maintaining integrity in the legal profession through attorney registration, education, outreach, restorative services, and discipline when needed.

You will develop staff, oversee disciplinary matters, drive organizational priorities, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Active Illinois bar license or eligible for admission soon.
• Minimum of 10 years of increasing responsibility in legal practice.
• At least five years of progressive leadership leading high-performing legal teams.
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse groups.
• Highly organized with strong time management.
• Willingness to learn new areas of law and apply knowledge.
• Ability to manage high-volume, varied workload with service orientation.
• Commitment to ARDC's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of attorneys and staff.

• Coach and evaluate team performance and professional growth.

• Oversee assignment, management, and resolution of matters in the litigation group.

• Represent ARDC in hearings and disciplinary proceedings.
• Educate lawyers and the public on attorney regulation and ARDC resources.
