Job summary

ARDC, serving the Supreme Court of Illinois, seeks a Litigation Group Manager to lead a designated team responsible for advancing the integrity of the legal profession through registration, education, outreach, restorative services, and discipline when needed.

The role requires building and guiding a team, ensuring efficient handling of disciplinary matters, and driving continuous improvement while aligning with ARDC's strategic goals.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and active Illinois bar.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in law with increasing responsibility.
• At least five years of progressive leadership leading legal teams.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management abilities.
• Willingness to learn new areas of law and manage a high-volume workload.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and support a multidisciplinary team of attorneys, investigators, paralegals, and administrative staff.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment aligned with ARDC values.
• Coach and evaluate team members with ongoing feedback and accountability.
• Oversee assignment, management, and resolution of matters within the litigation group.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and organizational policies.
• Represent the ARDC in proceedings before the Hearing and Review Boards and courts.
• Contribute to education and outreach on attorney regulation and ARDC programs.
