Job summary

gpac LLC. is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney in North Carolina, with eligible candidates in Charlotte or Asheville and a hybrid work arrangement.

The role targets Special Counsel level with potential Partner consideration. Base compensation ranges from $140,000 to $160,000 plus performance-based bonuses, with additional compensation for partner-track candidates based on experience and portable business.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Bar admission.
• Significant civil litigation experience.
• Strong deposition, motion practice, and case-management experience.
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Strong client-facing communication and professional judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple active matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Independently managing an active litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Developing litigation strategy and advising clients on risk and resolution.
• Drafting and arguing substantive and dispositive motions.
• Managing written discovery and complex legal research.
• Taking and defending fact and expert depositions.
• Representing clients at hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Preparing matters for trial.
• Providing case evaluations, reporting, and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and support professionals.
• Mentoring junior attorneys as appropriate.
