Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. seeks a Senior Attorney, Litigation to lead a portfolio of litigation and pre-litigation matters from Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule.

You will provide practical legal analysis, support matter strategy, and help manage litigation risk, cost, and outcomes. The role requires JD and bar admission with 4–7 years of litigation experience, plus strong research, writing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• Typically, 4–7 years of litigation experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal environment.
• Experience with commercial litigation or product liability is valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities for assigned litigation and dispute matters, including commercial litigation, personal injury, products liability, and pre-litigation disputes.
• Conduct legal research and factual analysis, assess risk, and develop recommendations with senior attorneys.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to support matter strategy, discovery, budgeting, and resolution planning.
• Serve as a legal point of contact for assigned matters, escalating significant risks and strategic decisions as appropriate.
• Review outside counsel work product, invoices, budgets, and matter progress, and identify efficiency improvements.
• Prepare clear legal analyses, status updates, and recommendations for leadership and business partners.
• Collaborate with business, compliance, and risk teams to identify litigation exposure and mitigation measures.
• Monitor legal, regulatory, and industry developments and communicate implications to stakeholders.
• Maintain matter records and ensure work complies with laws, ethics, and company policies.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability while seeking guidance on high-risk matters.
• Build trusted relationships by providing responsive, practical, business-oriented legal support.
• Share knowledge and contribute to improvements in litigation processes, templates, and tools.
