Job summary

Elgen Staffing in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a growing law firm. The candidate will actively litigate, manage litigation matters, communicate with clients, and prepare legal documents.

You should have 3–5 years of hands-on litigation experience, a JD, bar admission on the first attempt, and a strong understanding of the litigation process from inception through resolution.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school is required.
• Bar examination must be passed on the first attempt.
• 3–5 years of hands-on litigation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage litigation matters and adhere to deadlines.
• Strong research, writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a legal team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and handle an active caseload of litigation matters.
• Develop case strategy and move matters through the litigation process.
• Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other documents.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, conferences, mediations, and similar proceedings.
• Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy and outcomes.
• Review discovery and other case-related documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues, opposing counsel, clients and others involved.
