Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school (top 10% preferred).
• Active license and good standing with the Texas State Bar.
• Minimum of 10 years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience in general civil litigation, complex litigation, insurance defense, product liability, or appellate law.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of federal and state court procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload independently through all phases of litigation, from inception to trial or settlement.
• Develop case strategies and provide thoughtful legal analysis and recommendations.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Prepare witnesses and organize trial exhibits.
• Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Ensure compliance with court rules, scheduling orders, and critical deadlines.
