About the Role

A collegial law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to manage complex construction and New York Labor Law defense cases. You will work closely with partners and junior attorneys while independently handling matters from inception through resolution.

What You'll Do

• Manage a full caseload of construction litigation and New York Labor Law matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions, prepare motions, and appear in court.
• Try cases and represent clients in mediations and settlement conferences.
• Collaborate with partners on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communications.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to a collaborative team.

What We're Looking For

• Typically 9 or more years of defense litigation experience, with strong construction law experience considered for candidates with at least 7 years.
• Substantial experience defending New York Labor Law and construction site accident cases, with the ability to manage cases independently from day one.
• Trial experience, including independently handling high-value matters.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar.
• Strong deposition, motion practice, court appearance, and trial advocacy skills.
• A collaborative approach and interest in a long-term role.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $150,000 to $195,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Hybrid role based in Syosset, New York, with in-office work required initially.
