Job summary

Stealth seeks a NY-licensed Litigation Associate in White Plains for Labor Law and general liability defense. The role is mostly remote with a steady caseload and direct client exposure.

You will handle construction-site injury and liability matters, draft pleadings, take depositions, and coordinate with experts. Strong writing and motion skills are essential; NYS Bar admission is required.

Qualifications

• J.D. and NYS Bar admission required.
• 5+ years of NY personal injury defense litigation experience.
• Experience with Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1) and 241(6) strongly preferred.
• General liability or insurance defense background with carrier reporting experience.
• Excellent writing and motion practice skills.
• Ability to manage a largely remote caseload independently.

NY Labor Law & General Liability Defense Associate

A well-regarded defense law firm in White Plains, NY is seeking a Litigation Associate to handle New York Labor Law and general liability defense matters. This is a mostly remote role with a stable caseload and direct client exposure.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of construction-site injury and general liability matters from intake through resolution
• Defend owners, general contractors and subcontractors in claims under Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1) and 241(6)
• Draft pleadings, discovery demands and responses, and dispositive motions, including summary judgment motions on Labor Law liability
• Take and defend depositions, and work with experts on liability and damages
• Handle indemnification, contribution and risk-transfer issues, including tenders and contractual indemnity claims
• Attend court conferences and mediations, and prepare cases for trial
• Report regularly to carriers and clients with case evaluations and recommendations

Qualifications:

• J.D. and admission to the New York State Bar
• 5+ years of litigation experience in New York personal injury defense
• Experience with Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1) and 241(6) strongly preferred
• General liability or insurance defense background, ideally including carrier-facing reporting
• Strong writing and motion practice skills

The annual salary for this position is between $160,000 and $225,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
