Bachus & Schanker, LLC, a leading Colorado personal injury law firm, seeks a senior elite trial attorney for its Litigation Group. You will handle complex cases, work with a dedicated paralegal, and have independence over your caseload with flexible in-office hours.

The role demands Colorado bar admission, federal court eligibility in the District of Colorado, and extensive civil-litigation and trial experience.

Qualifications

• Must be in good standing and licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado.
• Active license in the Federal Court for the District of Colorado.
• 5+ years of experience handling civil litigation cases in Colorado.
• 3+ years of experience drafting pleadings, conducting depositions of individual and corporate defendants and experts, preparing and responding to written discovery, motions, and jury trials.
• Civil jury trial experience is a requisite requirement of this position.

Job description

Bachus & Schanker is one of the largest and most preeminent personal injury law firms in Colorado. We are looking to add a senior elite trial attorney to our Litigation Group, which works on our most complex cases. We have a team of approximately thirty attorneys and we have the technological and financial resources to support you and your clients.

You will work with a full-time paralegal solely dedicated to your practice, and you will have the ability to work your caseload independently, as well as have the flexibility to manage your time and your in-office hours.

Role

• Handle complex personal injury litigation cases, from start of litigation through trial.
• Drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, preparing and responding to written discovery, and motions practice.
• Analyzing case records and analyzing legal issues on case.
• Retaining experts, meeting with experts, and preparing expert disclosures.
• Negotiating settlements.

Required Qualifications

• Must be in good standing and licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado
• Active license in the Federal Court for the District of Colorado.
• 5+ years of experience handling civil litigation cases in Colodaro.
• 3+ years of experience in drafting pleadings, conducting depositions of individual defendants, corporate defendants and experts, preparing and responding to written discovery, motions practice, and jury trials.

The Firm offers a competitive compensation package that includes a strong base salary and generous commission structure with the opportunity to earn $200,000 to $350,000 annually.
