AMS Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate to join a medical malpractice defense team. The role is remote/virtual, based in Washington State, with travel to the Seattle area as needed.

The attorney will defend complex medical malpractice actions, work with healthcare providers, and handle motions, depositions, and discovery while collaborating with insurers. Unlimited PTO and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualificações

• WA State bar license active and in good standing.
• 5 years civil litigation experience; medical malpractice/healthcare defense preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Confidence taking and defending depositions and appearing in court.
• Collaborative, client-focused approach and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and comfort with legal technology and remote collaboration tools.

Responsabilidades

• Independently manage and support a caseload of medical malpractice and related healthcare-liability defense matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, conduct and defend depositions, and manage discovery, including review of complex medical records.
• Research and analysis of complex legal issues.
• Develop case strategy in partnership with partners and communicate directly with clients and insurance representatives.
• Prepare for and participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, trials.
• Represent healthcare professionals in licensing, credentialing, and Department of Health / professional board matters as needed.
• Stay current on developments in medical malpractice and healthcare liability law.

Job Description

Our client, specializing in healthcare defense, has an immediate opening for a full-time litigation attorney. The position is remote/virtual, but we are looking for someone based in Washington State with the ability to travel to the Seattle area for in-person meetings, court appearances, etc. when needed. The virtual nature of this job requires a motivated, tech-comfortable individual with strong communication skills. Successful candidates will have experience defending complex litigation matters involving bodily injury, defending doctors, health care providers, nurses and other medical professionals in medical malpractice claims, and representing medical professionals in licensing proceedings. Attorneys receive unlimited PTO, 10 paid holidays paid firm closure the last week of the year, premium health/vision/dental insurance, cell phone benefit, and retirement matching.
