Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer III (Linux Administrator) to support enterprise Linux infrastructure with emphasis on RHEL 8/9, CIS compliance, and automation. Hybrid work is available in Kirkland, WA or San Diego, CA.

The role focuses on vulnerability remediation, patching, and high-availability operations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Linux administration, hands-on scripting in Bash/Python, and strong experience with Ansible and Puppet to automate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise Linux Systems Administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with RHEL 8/9 administration.
• Experience with CIS Level 1 & Level 2 remediation and Linux security hardening.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Puppet for configuration management and automation.
• Experience with YUM/DNF package management and repository troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Bash or Python scripting.
• Solid understanding of DNS, subnetting, routing, and Linux networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Lead CIS Level 1 & Level 2 remediation activities for RHEL 8/9 environments.
• Perform Linux vulnerability remediation, patch management, and security hardening while meeting organizational security SLAs.
• Maintain and support enterprise Linux infrastructure using Ansible and Puppet automation.
• Provide KTLO operational support, incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis across Linux platforms.
• Coordinate with Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to implement secure, compliant, and reliable Linux solutions.
