Job summary

Kavaliro is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team in Orlando. The role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and optimizing Linux-based systems (RHEL and Ubuntu) with a strong emphasis on high availability and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on Linux experience, proficiency with Ansible, Python and Bash scripting, VMware, backups (Veeam), and Atlassian tools; willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule including

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience.
• Experience with RHEL and Ubuntu.
• Proficiency with Ansible.
• Scripting in Python and Bash.
• VMware administration experience.
• Experience with backup systems (Veeam).
• Experience managing Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with revision control systems (GitLab, Subversion, PlasticSCM).
• Storage management experience (SAN/NAS).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work shift schedules and after-hours/weekend support.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting for outages and incidents.
• Monitor system metrics and optimize performance.
• Document system hardware, software, and processes.
• Research and implement solutions via knowledge bases.
• Manage changes in hardware and software.
• Support Atlassian tools Jira and Confluence.
• Support revision control systems GitLab/Subversion/PlasticSCM.
• Oversee SAN/NAS storage and backups with Veeam.
• Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 support.
• Ensure IT security policies and patch management.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Networking, Security, and Development teams.
