Job summary

InfoVision Inc. is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to support Linux environments used across a large, geographically distributed POS infrastructure.

This hands-on role covers Linux OS image management, patching, troubleshooting and hardware integration. The team is migrating from Windows to Linux, and you will work onsite in Dallas with flexible hours (6am–6pm) and on-call duties during evenings, weekends and holidays for escalations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Linux administration experience.
• Experience creating and managing Linux OS images.
• Strong patch management skills for Linux devices.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Linux OS images supporting POS locations worldwide.
• Manage ongoing Linux patching for devices deployed in the field.
• Troubleshoot escalated Linux/POS issues with technicians across multiple locations.
• Work with hardware vendors to ensure JPOS device drivers function properly with current and future hardware.
• Support Linux integration with enterprise systems and infrastructure.
• Participate in after-hours on-call support for priority production issues.
