Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to support a large-scale data center migration, relocating physical and virtual servers with minimal downtime and strong service continuity.

You will own and engineer the Linux compute platform across migration waves, coordinate rollback plans, and ensure security, stability, and compliance across Linux infrastructure. Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes and VMware is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall experience with 4+ years of hands‑on Linux/Unix engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience with large-scale server or data center migrations.
• 3+ years of experience in Deep VMware ESXi/vSphere.
• 4+ years of experience in iSCSI networking and LVM expertise.
• Good skills in Bash and Python.
• Good understanding of networking, CI/CD, and container platforms like OpenShift/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own and engineer the Linux compute platform across migration phases.
• Coordinate migration waves, rollback plans, and validation checklists.
• Maintain security, stability, and compliance across Linux infrastructure.
• Work with support teams and internal engineering groups to resolve complex issues.
• Contribute to modernization efforts involving Kubernetes, OpenShift, and related platform technologies.
