Job summary

Aqua IT is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Engineer to support a mission critical enterprise identity and access management system. You will develop an understanding of services offered to external organizations and provide lifecycle systems engineering support to development and operations.

A successful candidate will use technical and functional expertise to recommend solutions, implement proactive measures for availability, and collaborate with customers and outside teams to diagnose

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline with 4–6 years as a systems administrator.
• Self-motivated with strong oral and written communication.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, RI).
• Experience troubleshooting OSI model layers 4–7 networking.
• Familiar with system engineering docs (diagrams, data flows).
• Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier II support for customer-facing issues.
• Perform RCA and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Review system metrics and health to maintain availability.
• Develop scripts and leverage playbook-based automation.
• Manage COTS and GOTS software across environments.
• Coordinate with security teams to ensure compliance.
• Interface with customers and external teams to diagnose access issues.
• Identify bottlenecks with visualization of system workflows.
