Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to join the Infrastructure Engineering team in Santa Clara, focusing on designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade Linux environments for high-throughput EDA compute farms.

You will drive automation initiatives, build robust tooling, and ensure highly available, scalable infrastructure using RPM-based distributions, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of deep systems engineering experience on RPM-based Linux distributions.
• Experience with automating end-to-end multi-tier infrastructure configurations using infrastructure as code.
• Strong understanding of virtualization and container internals (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.
• Solid networking fundamentals (OSI layers, TCP, tcpdump/wireshark).

Responsibilities

• Maintain, tune, and secure Linux operating systems across production and non-production environments.
• Lead infrastructure configuration management and CD workflows using IaC.
• Develop tooling in Python, Bash, or Go to automate tasks and collect telemetry.
• Manage Linux Naming Services and networked storage for high-performance workloads.
