Job summary

Investigo is hiring a Senior Linux Systems Engineer in the United States for a 6-month contract role. You will support the development of a scientific instrument and ensure the reliability and update infrastructure of a Linux-based system.

The role requires extensive experience in Linux systems engineering with a focus on deploying Ubuntu systems, as well as developing robust update mechanisms. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a small engineering team in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of experience in Linux systems engineering.
• Strong experience with Ubuntu (preferably 24.04).
• Hands-on experience with OS-level deployments in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust Linux OS deployment and update mechanisms.
• Ensure reliable system boot and recovery.
• Proactively identify and fix system-level issues ahead of product launch.
