Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Linux Systems Architect to join the LOS team in San Antonio, TX. You will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s cloud-compute infrastructure, leveraging a strong Linux foundation and automation expertise.

The role requires experience with RHEL, Ansible, and cloud services (AWS). A Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph is required, along with relevant certifications and a commitment to continuous learning across enterprise IT architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 10 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator (SA) OR 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• In depth experience with Linux (Red Hat Linux (RHEL) 8, 9, & 10; Amazon Linux; Rocky, etc.)
• Experience with Ansible & must possess strong knowledge of a wide range of cloud services / cloud-compute technologies such as AWS/Lambda functions.
• STE/STN solutions, Networking protocols/equipment, or STIG applications
• Design/develop/integrate hardware and/or software components into new and existing systems and perform maintenance on the development system infrastructure.
• IAT II certification (DoD 8140 required upon start of employment. Acceptable certifications include: CCNA-Security/CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP)
• Shall have at least two (2) of the following IT Industry Certifications: MCSE, RHCSA, VCP

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level design, specifying systems and component performance and interface requirements.
• Develop conceptual designs OR models to address requirements.
• Analyze problems to determine technical solutions.
• Write white papers AND develop user requirements based on evaluating solutions for solving technical problems.
• Maintain current knowledge on new and existing products, technologies, and/or architecture.
• Be willing to learn and share knowledge with others and be able to work well with both internal and external constituents.
• Design and build the information technology framework or environment. Guide information technology projects to product results that comply with established project requirements and IT architecture.
