Job summary

D2 Consulting is seeking a Systems Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines supporting cybersecurity investigations. You’ll handle data ingest, normalization, SIEM management, VM and cloud asset management, and cross-team collaboration.

Ideal candidates have strong Linux/Windows skills, networking knowledge, and experience with SIEM tools, scripting, and cloud platforms. Active listening and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems Engineer or similar experience.
• IAT II certification and CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 120 days.
• Strong Linux/Windows experience and networking fundamentals.
• Proven problem-solving skills, root cause analysis, and attention to detail.
• Experience with SIEM technologies (Elastic, Splunk, ArcSight) and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Resolve escalated issues and perform root cause analysis for complex problems.
• Coordinate event collection, log management, and identity monitoring activities.
• Maintain hardware/software revisions, patches, and security hardening.
• Perform maintenance and updates per change management processes.
• Communicate with program SMEs and customers with varying technical backgrounds.
