Job summary

D2 Consulting seeks a skilled Systems Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines for cybersecurity investigations. You will engage in data ingest/normalization, SIEM management, and VM/cloud asset management while collaborating with peers and customers.

Strong Linux/Windows experience and clear communication are essential. Ideal candidate has 5+ years in systems engineering, IAT II certification, and experience with virtualization platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems Engineer or similar experience.
• IAT II certification and CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 120 days of hire.
• Strong work ethic, self-directed, detail oriented.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Excellent time management and ability to work unsupervised.
• Proven problem solving with root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Resolve escalated issues and perform root cause analysis for complex issues.
• Communicate with program SMEs and customers with varying technical backgrounds.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and examine system aspects.
• Manage onboarding of multiple customers in different stages.
• Apply Configuration Management to maintain revisions, patches, hardening, and docs.
• Coordinate event collection, log management and identity monitoring for customer systems.
• Collaborate with Service Providers to support common interests.
• Provide preventative and corrective maintenance for reliable service availability.
• Maintain 99.99% system availability and reliability.
