Canonical is seeking a skilled engineer to design and implement Ubuntu integrations across IoT desktop and server platforms. This role involves collaborating with silicon and hardware partners to deliver a premier Ubuntu experience on their devices, from cloud to edge architectures.

You will contribute to plans, tests, and quality metrics while working within a globally distributed team. A strong background in Linux, open-source ecosystems, and C/Python/C++ is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM or equivalent.
• Experience with Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto).
• Experience with open source communities and licenses.
• Proficiency in Python, C, and C++.
• Ability to work in a globally distributed team.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement Ubuntu integration for latest IoT desktop and server hardware.
• Collaborate with partners to optimize Ubuntu experiences on their platforms.
• Shape technical plans, testing strategies, and quality metrics.
• Lead customer engagements with end-to-end system architectures from cloud to edge.
• Help partners integrate apps, SDKs, build device OS images, and optimize apps with Ubuntu Core/Desktop/Server.
• Work with advanced OS and application technologies in the enterprise.
