Job summary

Referment is seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join its Platform Engineering team. This role is strictly hands-on and operates across Linux platforms, networks, security controls, and core services in data centres, cloud environments, and international offices.

You will design, integrate and maintain OS and infrastructure services, tackle kernel-level troubleshooting, and drive modern platform practices with Kubernetes, GitOps, and automation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of infrastructure engineering experience focused on engineering/architecture
• Deep Linux engineering and kernel-level expertise with command-line driven approach
• Advanced software development instincts with experience building platform tools/open-source contributions (Python, Rust, Go)
• Extensive experience with modern automation, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows
• Strong host- and network-level troubleshooting skills
• Experience engineering for massive-scale, high-performance environments
• Clear communication and collaboration across globally distributed teams

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate and maintain OS and infrastructure services with deep Linux focus
• Contribute to global networks, core network services and security infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments
• Improve security framework for a massive-scale production platform across thousands of nodes
• Implement modern platform practices, including Kubernetes, GitOps, and advanced operational automation
• Diagnose complex host and network issues using tracing and diagnostic tools
• Collaborate with a global engineering team and partner departments across locations
