Job summary

Fintal Partners, a quantitative trading firm, is seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to design, automate, and support its large-scale production systems. The role covers on-premises and bare-metal environments and demands deep Linux expertise.

You will write Python and Bash for automation, implement provisioning and configuration workflows, and partner with teams to boost reliability, performance, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and CM tools like Puppet or Ansible.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Linux systems or infrastructure engineering
• Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise Linux environments
• Experience supporting large-scale on-premises or bare-metal infrastructure
• Strong Python and Bash scripting for infrastructure automation
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or similar
• Solid understanding of Linux networking, system performance, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and deployment processes
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex production issues and drive improvements

Responsibilities

• Engineer, maintain, and optimize large-scale Linux infrastructure across on-premises and bare-metal environments
• Develop Python and Bash automation to streamline infrastructure operations and reduce manual processes
• Build and improve server provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows
• Troubleshoot complex Linux systems, networking, and performance issues in production
• Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting to strengthen infrastructure reliability
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve infrastructure performance, scalability, and operational efficiency
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or similar technologies
