Arctic7 is seeking an experienced Senior Linux System Engineer with strong Golang development and Linux systems expertise. You will design and optimize backend components and work across kernel-level projects, emphasizing system-level programming and networking.

The role focuses on performance tuning, security best practices, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve infrastructure challenges. Remote work is available for Europe-based applicants on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Linux System Engineer or Backend Engineer with strong Golang expertise.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems and network fundamentals.
• Knowledge of system programming, network programming, and Linux Kernel concepts.
• Experience with PHP, Python, or FreeBSD is a plus.
• Familiarity with security best practices and system performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software components using Golang.
• Use Bash and Python for scripting, automation, and tooling.
• Work closely with Linux systems — configuration, optimization, and Kernel-level customization.
• Contribute to system and network programming efforts.
