Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a Systems Administrator to support IT systems, troubleshooting and maintenance across UNIX/Windows environments. The role covers operations, monitoring, problem resolution, and user assistance, with emphasis on high-resilience infrastructure and security-conscious practices.

The candidate should have extensive Linux experience, familiarity with Kubernetes basics, and ability to work in high-latency or air-gapped environments.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux background.
• Linux troubleshooting skills (tailing log files, restarting services).
• Fiercely independent, self-starter, takes tasks to ground until blocks.
• Comfortable navigating in a terminal, running Linux commands.
• Comfortable SSHing to servers, port forwarding/ssh tunneling.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all networked devices.
