Applied Information Sciences seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join a DoD-focused team. You will lead Linux automation, manage RHEL/Ubuntu systems, and drive infrastructure improvements in a mission-critical environment.

The role emphasizes scalable architecture, strong security compliance, and collaboration with senior leadership to deliver high-impact results. A Top Secret/SCI-eligible clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Expertise with Configuration as Code (CaC) tooling, Ansible preferred.
• Expertise managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu systems on disconnected environments.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs and NIST 800-53 controls.

Responsibilities

• Provision, manage, and support RHEL and Ubuntu servers across connected and disconnected networks.
• Develop, utilize, and maintain Ansible Playbooks to secure, patch, and configure Linux servers.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and workloads deployed on the clusters.
• Configure connected services such as network adapters, storage, and firewalls.
• Deploy, configure, and support monitoring capabilities to detect anomalies or service disruptions.
• Investigate service disruptions and provide root cause analyses and preventive steps.
