Job summary

Applied Information Sciences is seeking a Linux Automation Administrator to join a mission-driven team supporting the DoD. The role focuses on provisioning, securing, and operating Red Hat Linux and Ubuntu systems across connected and disconnected networks.

You will develop Ansible playbooks, manage Kubernetes clusters, and drive high-availability and security compliance in a highly collaborative environment. A TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or Cybersecurity; or equivalent experience.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Expertise with Configuration as Code tooling; Ansible preferred.
• Expertise administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu systems in disconnected environments.

Responsibilities

• Provision, manage, and support RHEL and Ubuntu servers across multiple networks.
• Develop and maintain Ansible Playbooks for securing, patching, and configuring Linux servers.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and workloads across environments.
• Configure connected services such as network adapters, storage, and firewalls.
• Deploy, configure, and support monitoring to detect anomalies or outages.
• Investigate incidents, provide root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Support deployments of new hardware and software applications and appliances.
