Job summary

Veilant Company is seeking an experienced, cleared Senior Systems Engineer to join the infrastructure team. You will own and improve mission-focused systems, deploying hardened Linux systems and managing VMware and cloud services in AWS and GCP.

The role requires strong Linux skills, networking knowledge, and a proactive, collaborative mindset to automate tasks and document clearly. Flexible remote options are available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on systems, infrastructure, cloud, or network engineering experience.
• Strong Linux experience with real command-line troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, maintain, and improve Linux systems and related infrastructure.
• Manage VMware ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, and vSAN in production environments.
• Operate cloud services in AWS and GCP; ensure secure connectivity (IPSec, WireGuard, OpenVPN, TLS, MACsec).
• Create useful operational documentation, diagrams, build notes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Network Engineering, and Security Operations to harden systems and automate tasks.
