Job summary

National Grid is seeking Rated Lineworkers for anticipated positions at our Central Massachusetts locations — Spencer, Monson, Worcester, Leominster and Athol.

These roles require Lineworker 1/C proficiency, safety standards knowledge, and the ability to maintain records and coordinate with field crews. DOT health and System hoisting certificates, plus a valid driver’s license, are required.

Qualifications

• Lineworker 1/C proficiency demonstrated by past performance appraisals.
• Familiarity with all Safety Standards and procedures.
• Maintain records, payroll, materials used, and equipment condition.
• Possess a valid driver’s license without restrictive transmission/hours limitations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of a Lineworker 1/C and/or Single Person Worker.
• Maybe required to handle substances considered hazardous.
• Follow all National Grid environmental policies.
• Occasionally direct and train overhead line crew personnel.
• Maintain records and procure stock as needed.
• Install and remove meters on single-phase services.
• Contribute to crew productivity, safety, and knowledge of the job.
• Act as Field Control Authority and manage Red Tags.
