National Grid is seeking Rated Lineworkers (1/C) for anticipated openings at MA South locations, including South Shore (Brockton, Quincy, Hanover) and Southeast (Hopedale, Marlborough, Attleboro, Uxbridge, Somerset). The role involves building and maintaining electric power systems, with field duties, safety requirements, and storm restoration responsibilities.

Ideal candidates will have Lineworker certification, robust knowledge of standards, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Competenze

• Must be a Lineworker 1/c or 2/c as demonstrated by proficiency testing and past performance appraisals.
• Familiar with construction, operating, and maintenance standards and safety procedures.
• Proficient with electronic devices and able to maintain records, reports, and forms for payroll, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment assigned to the department.
• Off-hour contact via telephone required; valid driver's license with no transmission restrictions; DOT health and System Hoisting certificates.

• Build and maintain electrical distribution and transmission systems above and below ground.
• Work at heights, climb poles, and lift heavy equipment.
• Operate aerial and excavation equipment and troubleshoot system issues.
