Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires journeyman level experience installing and maintaining overhead and underground power lines.
• First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
• Valid CDL A license required.
• Must pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
• Must be able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Must be able to work overtime and in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain overhead and underground power lines and equipment.
• Perform line switching or sectionalizing as directed.
• Work above ground on poles or towers and use safety gear.
• Install/remove transformers, cross arms, insulators, and distribution devices.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems on company and customer equipment.
• Assist in training apprentices and crew members.
