Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a Line Planner to oversee planned maintenance and line maintenance tasks across the fleet. This role ensures compliance with maintenance programs, coordinates resources, and guides aircraft routing and operations for scheduled upkeep.

You will work with maintenance teams to prioritize workload, review manuals and IPCs, and monitor governance of the SMS program while meeting the airline's safety and reliability goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required.
• 3 years aircraft maintenance experience, able to work 24/7 including weekends.
• Up to 10% travel required; strong knowledge of aircraft and engine safety systems.
• Ability to read and interpret Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, IPCs, and engineering documents.
• Legal to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance of all planned upkeep needs monitored by maintenance programs.
• Coordinate recovery, support and scheduling of scheduled and deferred maintenance.
• Lead planning for out-of-service aircraft and maintenance work bundles; prioritize workload.
• Mentor and guide maintenance teams; ensure IPCs and manuals are up-to-date.
• Ensure safety, reliability and efficiency goals are met through continuous compliance and reporting.
